Small Town Christmas

Small Town Christmas is almost here! Two weekends, three historic buildings, and one cozy little town. Here is everything you need to plan your visit, all in one place.

The basics
Friday, November 6 and Saturday, November 7
Friday, November 13 and Saturday, November 14
Fridays 3 to 8 PM, Saturdays 9 AM to 3 PM
Admission is free.

Your three stops
The R7 Reclaimed Barn, 337 Cemetery Lane: The magic begins here – especially in the hayloft! Reclaimed and vintage goods, themed trees, Christmas decor, gifts and a photo spot or two.
The Old Grandview School, 301 S Main Street: new this year! Local vendors fill the gym, and the classrooms host our workshops.
The Downtown Drinkery, 201 S Main Street: drinks, food, and a place to rest between stops.

Start anywhere. There is no wrong order.

Grab a bingo card
Pick up your bingo card at any of the three locations. It sends you on a treasure hunt through the barn, school and Drinkery, with squares like buying an ornament, finding your favorite candle scent and meeting a vendor. When you get a bingo, fill out the back and drop it in the bucket to enter our drawing for a $100 gift certificate, a night at the R7 Downtown Airbnb or a month of free drinks at The Downtown Drinkery.

The Schoolhouse Speakeasy
Tucked into the old school’s fallout shelter, the Schoolhouse Speakeasy is open Fridays from 3 to 8 PM, with guest bartender The Tipsy Traveler serving drinks. To get the password, sign up for our email list on this page, and we’ll send it straight to your inbox. On Saturdays, the speakeasy isn’t serving drinks, but you can still explore it.

Food and drink
The Downtown Drinkery is serving Winter Warmers: lattes, coffee, sandwiches, soup, spinach dip, smal bites and a full drink menu
Friday, November 6: Cynful Smokers BBQ will be on site.
Saturdays: Binky’s Hot & Happy Bites will be serving up mini donuts and pancakes both Saturdays.
Find baked goods at the school with our vendors too!

Shopping local
You will find more than a dozen makers and small businesses.

Workshops and talks
Hands on workshops take place in the third floor classrooms of the old school, with the original chalkboards still on the walls. No experience needed, and all materials are included.

Seats are limited, so sign up in advance.
Free talks with Tenneil: “Permission for an Imperfect Christmas” and decorating tips! Times will be posted on November 1st.

Parking
Parking is available at all 3 locations, with the most parking available at the barn and the school. The Drinkery is just one short block from the school. The barn is 5 blocks away, so feel free to walk or drive.

Steps and accessibility
These are old buildings, and they have steps. The barn and school have no elevators. The workshop classrooms are on the third floor, which is reached by stairs. We have posted videos of each location so you know what to expect, and if you would like help, message us ahead of time and we’ll gladly arrange it.

Plan your afternoon
Start at the barn and pick up a bingo card. Head to the school for shopping and a workshop, then finish at the Drinkery with a warm bowl of soup. Or come Friday night for the speakeasy. Either way, plan for a couple of hours of shopping and exploring!
