Taking 24 hours that is. 24 hours of asking the people I love the most to support me pushing the pause button. 24 hours of ignoring life’s demands and responsibilities. 24 hours of not being driven by the should and ought to’s….
It’s been an incredible June for us here at R7. We wrapped up the school year, did some serious picking and project finishing and took a family trip to Nashville to join City Farmhouse in their pop-up fair. We threw one heck of a party for about 1000 people and put our 2nd annual Farm Life Festival in the books. Then, we hit Dallas market and made a whirlwind of a trip all across Texas to see family…meeting little ones, caring for the sick and catching up with people we love. Now — here I am.
Can I be a lil’ honest and a lotta transparent?? Of course I can, because that’s how we should be. I’m tired. I’m frustrated. I’m mad at myself. I’m numb. I even skipped church today. But guess what? I’m still here. My heart’s still beating healthy. My home is still standing (although a bit messy…) and the people I love know where I am.
So here’s to 24 hours. 24 hours of worship music. 24 hours of pretending to disappear while I put my eyes on the One who has never taken his eyes off of me. 24 hours of ignoring my people so I can remember that I LOVE loving them.
So…if you miss me go ahead and watch last week’s features on Paula Sands Live and dream of how we can design a gallery wall, and I’ll be back before you even know I’m gone. But I will know — that I took 24 so I can go on giving, laughing, and loving.

I am loved. So are you.
From R7 to you —
Be a blessing.
